Paraphrase Practice

Original:

"As Lincoln, Daniel Day-Lewis is excellent: he has the president's famous height, and his reedy, hushed manner of speaking. Apparently, Lincoln used to drive his colleagues mad with his odd sense of humour and his long stories, just as we see in the film. We also get a much more rounded picture than usual of Lincoln's wife, Mary Todd. She's notorious for being on the far side of sane – she's reputed to have thrown crockery at Lincoln – and for spending pots of money. Sally Field shows her as a much more complex person, who had suffered real loss in the death of their son Willie."

Paraphrase:
My paraphrase of the selected passage: The actor who plays Lincoln in the movie "Lincoln", Daniel Day-Lewis, plays his role very well. He physically matches the famous Lincoln statute with his long, tall figure, and his quiet yet powerful speech. According to old sources, Abraham Lincoln told so many stories and put so many jokes into conversation, that his coworkers and friends became insane  with the constant antidotes. In "Lincoln" this is shown through his many stories and eventful encounters around the people he works with. This film takes Mary Todd Lincoln and shows her true personality and hidden life behind the President's wife. She was known for being mentally unstable around the community. It is rumored that she chucked tableware and other miscellaneous items at Lincoln. She also used large amounts of money at a time and never ceased to stop. Mary Todd Lincoln's actor, Sally Field, reveals the complicated nature of Mary Todd's emotions. Mary lost her son Willie to Typhoid fever at age twelve, which caused her to mourn and grieve.
